When In Doubt

Since I am a stay at home mother, every day is usually a Mommy and Son Day.

Most of the days we have a set routine, wake up, get ready, eat breakfast, take his dad to work, come home play, yadda yadda yadda you know the drill.

Today was just a tad bit different, because my son had a wellness doctor appointment to attend. Yay! So exciting right? Not! My son absolutely does not like visiting the doctor's office. Any who, long story short he had a long visit at the doctor's, in my opinion he deserves to go out play and run around as much as he likes, rather than being cooped up inside the house.

Between the Children's Discovery Museum and Circus Circus, I decided to take him to Circus Circus. I honestly love Circus Circus because they have a variety of activities and things to do not only for adults but kids too! And they also offer free parking.. (It is so hard to find free parking anywhere on the Las Vegas Strip - but stay tuned for my other story, I will tell you where you can find free parking on the Las Vegas Strip.)

Here is the story I'd like to share that happened at Circus Circus.

We get to Circus Circus and walking our way through the casino to get upstairs to Midway, the arcade. My son is full of excitement, you could just see it in his face. He looks around and runs straight to a claw machine full of Minions (from the movie Despicable Me). In my head I was saying to myself "I knew it, I knew he was going straight to that machine) Here is an insider about my son; his favorite movie is Despicable Me 1 & 2, there is literally not a day that goes by that he doesn't watch it. Go figure I knew that's exactly what he runs to first. I put a dollar in the machine just hoping I could win any ONE Minion.. but I failed. So I pull him over to the other side where he can see all the games and other things he could play, my intentions for this was to get his mind of the claw machine full of Minions. About a good 45 minutes or so passes, we walk around, play games, ride rides, win tickets, watch a show, etc.. Having a complete blast. And guess what!? We just so happen to find our way back to the SAME claw machine FULL of MINIONS. But of course, he runs back to it.  I'm thinking "Oh boy, here it is.. Let me just try one more time. I know how much this is his favorite.." Here is the moment of truth... I put the quarters in the machine and from the corner of my eye, I could see him watching with excitement. I'm hoping I don't fail him this time. Well right before I moved the joystick, I had my hand on the machine and I took literally 2 or maybe even 3 seconds to close my eyes and say a quick prayer. I kid you not, I WON MY SON THE STUFF MINION. I saw that Minion drop right down and in that moment was the happiest mom in that building. I hadn't felt so proud of myself. To see my child's face to light up with so much joy when he grabbed the Minion was the absolute BEST feeling ever. I walked away from that machine with my head held high, a smile that reached from one ear to the other, and pointed up saying "Thank You."

Moral of my story, is that sometimes we think we can do things on our own, some of us put our faith in ourselves or in others more than we do towards our Creator. Some of us doubt our Creator, but why should we? He put us on this earth. He wants nothing but the Best and more for us. He didn't put us here to suffer. But when we are unable to do things on our own or when we are full of doubt, He wants us to come to Him and simply just ask. Scripture says, "That’s why I tell you to have faith that you have already received whatever you pray for, and it will be yours." Mark 11:24 GW

https://bible.com/bible/70/mrk.11.24.GW. You see, He has given each and everyone of us a voice. A voice to shatter our doubts/fears/darkness etc. He wants us to use that voice. We really can do anything that seems impossible, but it is doubt that makes us seem like we can't. A lot of you may think or say that the odds are against you, but they really aren't… The odds are actually IN your favor. Do you realize that the faith you have within you can uproot all the negativity in your life.

You see, in my story, after my first try of not winning that Minion for my son I could have been moping around and complaining about how I didn't win one for him, but instead I went on and enjoyed the quality time I had with my son. We somehow ended up at the same claw machine, prayed about it, believed it, and received it. It was definitely the highlight of my day.

So next time when you're in doubt who are you trusting? Who do you have faith in?

If there was ever a time you had doubted but found faith, I'd absolutely love to hear your story! Please feel free to email your story to thinkprosperity.inc@gmail.com
