Who's Birthday?

Updated: Jul 28, 2019

Where to even start?

Wow it's been such a crazy, yet fun weekend!

My little Prince turned 2 today! It's so crazy how time flies. I remember being at the

hospital giving birth to him like it was just yesterday.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY L.J.!

For his birthday we dedicated this past entire weekend just for him. I could tell he had a blast.

We started his weekend on Friday going to New York New York and taking him to the Hershey's Chocolate World. It has to be the sweetest store on the Las Vegas Strip. This retail store had everything, I mean after all it is 2 stories high... I think they said the store span was 13,000 or 14,000 square-feet. They had so many types of Hershey's products, sweet treats, and gifts. It's definitely a must see attraction if you ever come to Vegas. There were so many unique things in the store we were all amazed. The one thing that caught our eyes was the Statue of Liberty made out of a ton of Twizzlers. You can check out the videos and pictures I took while we were there on L.J.'s Birthday Weekend Video on YouTube.

So the following day, Saturday, we took him to one of his favorite spots. The DISCOVERY Children's Museum. Now this place is 3 stories high, we literally could spend an entire day here, but we only spent roughly 3-4 hours. The joy to see on his face, while running around, playing and exploring just melts my heart. I love seeing my son have a good time. It's the best feeling. Sadly I didn't get many pictures or videos here, but I did get a few, they are in the same video of his birthday weekend, so when you have time check it out. I love this place because while the kids are playing and having fun they are still learning how and why all types of things work. It puts their brain to work, sometimes I even learn a few new things. This is definitely a place I would recommend to bring your children to if you live in Vegas or plan to visit Vegas. Very kid-friendly, more subtle for children under the age of 10.

Sunday, we did it big. It was so awesome because one of his grandmothers from

Oklahoma was able to fly out here to celebrate his birthday. So the family got together to rent out a suite at the Palms Casino & Resort and cook up some yummy food. We had BBQ ribs, Filipino spaghetti, macaroni salad, chips and salsa, fruits, brownies, cake and so much more! Everything was super delicious. Shout out to everyone who helped with making everything happen this day. After eating he blew out his candles, which by the way I have a video on YouTube where we all are singing and as we are singing "Happy Birthday" to him he's blowing out the candles. It was so funny and cute. Here is the link to it [Singing Happy Birthday] Well after eating cake and resting for a bit we went to the pool for a few hours. I'm pretty sure this was L.J.'s favorite part of the day. It's a blessing to be able to watch him with so much joy on his face, splashing around and swimming in the pool.

What made it even better was that this lady who was there with her niece and nephews swimming in the pool, they all came up to him and started singing "Happy Birthday" to him. He sat there with a big smile on his face while they sung to him. It was the most precious moment ever. I am so thankful for that. We all had a blast and ended the night there with more food and cake.

The following day, Monday (today), is his actual birthday. We didn't do too much today. We started the day with sleeping in. Haha I guess we were so exhausted from everything we did this past weekend. Since today was his actual birthday, I let him blow out a candle again this time on a cupcake. It's just the cutest moment to see him blowing out candles. It just shows how much time flies and I cherish every moment of it. Later on during the evening I took him to the park. We stayed until he decided he wanted to leave, which ended up being about an hour and a half. I think that it was extremely hot outside because if it wasn't I'm sure we would have stayed a lot longer. But one of the best things at the park which is also his favorite is the water area. Because it is sooo hot here in Las Vegas it's the perfect thing to have at the park. He runs back and forth through the water, it's adorable. Then after he was done playing in the water he went to go play on the playground and even met some new friends to play with. It's such a great feeling to see your child interact and have fun with other kids, especially because he is an only child. We topped off the park with swinging and walk the trail a few times before heading home.

His 2nd birthday experience was such a fun and enjoyable one. To see him with such a big grin on his face and having the time of his life is the best feeling as a mother. No matter what goes on in life, he brings light to any situation.

It was definitely a pleasure to have his grandmother from Oklahoma to come out for his birthday. I want to thank everyone who helped make his birthday weekend the best one yet. You are all amazing. Thank You!

Once again, HAPPY BIRTHDAY PRINCE!

We all love you!!!
